Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
Insert a new

into your Control D glucometer. The meter should turn on automatically and prompt for a blood sample.
Use a lancing device to prick your fingertip (or an alternate site, if compatible with the meter and method) to obtain a small drop of blood.
Gently touch the tip of the test strip to the blood droplet. The blood will be drawn into the strip by capillary action.
Wait for the meter to analyze the sample and display your blood glucose result, which typically takes 5 seconds.
Safely dispose of the used test strip and lancet
